I'm Back!

I feel like I've abandoned my blog.  I didn't mean to, but it's been a long summer.  I had opportunity to go to my parent's camp with our son.  He hasn't had a fun summer since before he was two years old as he's had therapy through school then five days a week in the summer.  This summer he only had therapy two days a week so we worked a camp schedule around his therapy.  I am so glad we did ~ he had a blast!!!  I must admit I did too.  We're looking forward to going up again next summer if he doesn't have therapy or if the schedule is like this year's.
I have begun a new journey to live a new lifestyle.  I want to be healthier for myself and my family.  I started and it was tough to get my body to agree with what I was doing.  I didn't think I was going to make through the first few days. As the time passed it got easier.  I went to my first weigh in and I had lost five pounds.  I was so excited.  I then went the following week and another three pounds down.  Then week after week I continued to lose an average of 1.8 to 2.8 pounds in a week.  I am so happy.  They said that adding more activity should increase the loss of pounds as well.  I can't wait to see the changes.  I went to my meeting today and was weighed in and was surprised....I was down two pounds!!!! YEAH!!!!! The words that followed were was surprised me most.  They said that I would be receiving an award during the meeting.  I said, "Oh, really?" She said yes you will so go on in.  I did and they called my name I raised my hand and they gave me my 10 pound star.  I was so shocked!!! WOW!!!! I lost 10 pounds!!!! I'm so happy!!!!!!  I will try and update this more often and I have to get back into designing and making things.  I have ideas now that I'm on a new journey.  You could say I have a new theme for things.  You'll have to keep watching to see the updates as they come.  Thank you for hanging in there with me.

  1. Congratulations on the weight loss! I lost 30 pds on WW years ago, I have been trying again lately, but haven't done well. I just started again yesterday and am really going to try this time. I have about 50 pds to lose. It's definitely not easy so all I have to say is YOU GO GIRL!!! :-)
