Wednesday, February 2
I decided to do something a little different, considering I didn't have a groundhog to cut. I used a little Hedgehog because I thought he was so cute. What can you tell me about Groundhog's Day? I can tell you that you need to go to Karel's Blog over at One By One The Flamingo's Are Stealing My Sanity! There are more surprises there for you to find. :)
I'll leave you with this little bit of information about Groundhog's Day........
Hello and Happy Groundhog Day from Punxsutawney! Groundhog Day is February 2, and the celebration is upon us!
Every year the world turns its attention to Punxsutawney to learn the prediction of the most famous resident, Punxsutawney Phil. At sunrise, Phil will emerge from his burrow at Gobbler's Knob, and his handlers will announce whether or not Phil has seen his shadow. If Phil sees his shadow, legend has it that we can expect six more weeks of winter weather. No shadow indicates an early spring.
Did you know that the scientific name for Punxsutawney Phil is Marmota Monax
Now for the Card Recipe:
I took an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of cardstock folded in half at the 5 1/2" mark
I then layered inside with a decorative paper leaving little more than 1/4" all the way around
Then I made the border in CDS
I then used Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge to cut the Hedgehog at 2.25"
I then used Disney Pooh & Friends Cricut Cartridge to cut the Birthday Hat at 1.5"
I then used my stamp "Happy Birthday" with Ink It Up French Blue Stamp Pad
The ribbon is from Miss. Elizabeth's ScrapBook Ribbon Collection
Now make sure you head on over to One By One The Flamingo's Are Stealing My Sanity!! You must see the fun going on there!!!
Have a Happy Cricut Day,
