In parts of the world there are people flying kites today in reference to today. Today we're not flying our kite as we're buried in snow to my waist (I'm 5'1"); okay so I'm not that tall..LOL. We have snow blowing in as I sit here writing this post.
I love to fly kites in the warmer weather. I know our son loves to make them as well. He draws them quite well I might add. I may have a picture of a kite of his. Have to dig through this hard drive to see what I can come up with. I found one, but it was taken a little while ago. Here's his kite; it's like a stained glass window sort of. He loves this kite of his.
I will now post my card to commemorate this day. I must tell you though you must go to One By One The Flamingo's Are Stealing My Sanity to see what fun is going on. Remember this month all long we're celebrating Karel's 55th Birthday Bash. I will say there's a lot of fun planned for the entire month. Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge for Kite; cut 3.5"
Cardstock: Nicole Cardstock Sage Green
Decorative Paper from my stash
Spool-o-Ribbon 3/16" Willow
I cut the kites from the cartridge then layered them up with pop dots. I then cut a scrap piece of cardstock at 1 3/4" for the sentiment I used clear stamps from Studio G.
I have to add this in. A friend decided to play along with us for Kite Flying Day. She gave me her picture this morning so here's what she came up with.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a Happy Cricut Day,
