Good Morning, Everyone!! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your day. I received this book to review. The opinions are my own. I want to open this up by first saying that our Moms Group at church had been doing a challenge to be joyful and list things we’re grateful for. We had a good time doing this. When I saw this devotional I thought how neat is that this would come up for review. I really like the layout, beginning with a verse then the short devotional and ending with a prayer. The devotional leaves you with a thought to ponder on for the day which is great. This would be a great book to do in a small group or with a couple of friends over coffee, tea and of course have to have the snacks too. There was one that I was drawn to. I, of course, had to go to my birthday to see what was written for that date. In that devotion for the day was based on Psalm 3:4 "I call out to the Lord, and He answers me from His holy mountain." I will quote a section of this "During any one of the wars involving America, letters to and fro home were eagerly awaited and cherished. Sometimes an anxious mother or father would not hear from their beloved son or daughter for many days. When a letter finally arrived, they'd rejoice, and their home would once again be filled with joy." How true this is; I went through this with my now husband from when we were just boyfriend and girlfriend, we were fiancees, then onto now husband and wife. I know many times I hung on to is there a letter today, is there a package somewhere so I know he's ok?? When I did get a letter or package, or flowers anything from him a call, anything it really filled me with joy. Just as with the Lord when we pray about something and the answer comes we are filled with the joy only He can give. What a loving God!! I hope you truly enjoy the book as much as I have so far and will as I go through the rest of it. I know I will be sharing with friends and family. Thanks for stopping by!!
